Artist Bio
Suri is a California-based artist working primarily in oil paint. Her work is rooted in nature, landscapes, skyscapes, and organic forms.
She recently graduated with her BFA at the Laguna College of Art and Design, where she continues to develop her artistic voice, technical skill and conceptual approach. Her artistic practice has evolved through coursework, independent study, and personal exploration.
She recently developed a body of work focused on creating dream-like environments with the intention of creating immersive spaces that invite viewers to escape and slow down.
Artist Statement
My work is rooted in nature, landscapes, skyscapes, and organic forms. I’m drawn to the way these things exist, holding softness, movement, and somehow stillness.
Light, color, and atmosphere guide my process. I’m interested in how a painting can transform something familiar into something more immersive, something you don’t just see, but feel.
My paintings aren’t meant to feel heavy or loud. They’re meant to feel like stepping into calm and warmth.
For me, painting is about creating something that feels gentle, warm, and alive.
